A new Cruise Liner making its way through German Farmland!
On a recent trip to Northern Germany we watched a brand new Cruise Liner making its way from the INLAND (!) ship builders Meyer Werft of Papenburg, in Emsland, Niedersachsen. This successful shipyard has had a full order book for many years specialising in building massive sea going Cruise Liners. It is a spectacle I have always wanted to see: the apparition of an imposing sea going vessel making its way seemingly through the flat open farmland of Northern Germany. Not only can’t you see the Sea – you can’t even see the River Ems when you watch from the distance! Quite a site.
